WHAT IS HUMSS?

HUMSS stands for Humanities and Social Sciences. It is one of the strands offered to Senior High students in the Philippines. This strand is for learners who aim to take up journalism, communication arts, liberal arts, education, and other social science-related courses in college. This strand focuses on improving your communication skills and helps you to become a successful person in the future.





WHY YOU SHOULD CHOOSE HUMSS?

Choose HUMSS because this track will help you to enhance not only your ability to talk in front of many people, but also it helps to boost your self-confidence and your ability to connect and communicate with society. As well as it can help your personal development. For me, I choose HUMSS because it is my dream to become a police woman and base on my experience, humss is not as difficult as people think because as long as you have a dream in life, you can really handle all the challenges that you may encounter and I believe that no one succeds without trying, hence try and try until you get what you've aiming for. The key to survive to this strand is to be confident. HUMSS students are expected to be good communicators and public speakers and so this strands has a lot of presentation activities to prepare students for their future jobs. You have to be good at everything.

•There are 3 strands we can choose. It's not a joke nor game choosing your strand, you must think clearly enable for you not to blame yourself in the end. Choosing your strand will help you in your college journey so think before choosing your chosen strand.

•We should always choose the track that we want because it is important for us students of SHS to have more knowledge and straight to our dream course that we really want to achieve before Graduating SHS. 

•Your dream career in the future can be your basis in choosing the right track too. Make sure that the strand you’re going to take is related to it.
